3WW CCX

Each week, I post three words. You write something using the words.
Then come back and post a link to the contribution with Mr. Linky.
As always, there's no hard-and-fast rule that you have to post on Wednesday.
With that said, I invite everyone to check back often to read and comment on other contributions. This is, after all, a community for writers who clamor for feedback.

This week's words:

absolve, hiss, ridicule

Gloomy again, I'm afraid. I'm a very cheerful person but I must have a darker side!

Another one of those weeks when I look at the words and think, Nah! can't write anything with them...and then seconds later I am writing! LOL

It amazes me every time. :-)

That for posting the prompt, I always look forward to 3WW.

And the story continues... Happy Wednesday, everyone!

This week's prompts were begging of "the exorcist" like treatment. I think I have managed not to succumb to that temptation :)

I went for a layered political message this week.

In limerick form, naturally.

I don't see the linky thingy :( here's my entry, revisiting some characters I'd played with a while ago:

Tyrus and Telissa

Once again my post is long, not poetry and on NLD so I don't expect many comments
I continue to do 3WW for two reasons: I love the word exercise--it works for me, and I helped begin 3WW so in some senses it feels a bit mine

Hi, Thom -- just wanted to say I'm hoping to get back to 3WW soon. Lots going on in my life right now, and I'm having to work hard to stay afloat. But I miss doing 3WW and I'll be participating again just as soon as I can.

And as always, thank you for this wonderful community.

I really enjoy the challenge of coming up with something pertinent with just the three words as a guide. It really makes me rack the noodle. And you get so many good participants submitting good writing.

Thanks for all the reading, contributors; and thanks for hosting the exercise, hoster!

See you all next week.

I had a story in mind as soon as I saw these words. :)

It was a little tough squeezing those multisyllabic words into a haiku but the image came to me right away :)

With these words and all the bullying in the news, this poem wrote itself. Thanks, Thom.

I've been away for quite awhile but drop in and read (lurker style) when I can. Hello to everyone :)
