3WW CCXXXI

Each week, I post three words. You write something using the words.
Then come back and post a link to the contribution with Mr. Linky (but please, link to the exact post, not your blog). As always, there's no hard-and-fast rule that you have to post on Wednesday.

But I invite everyone to check back often to read and comment on other contributions. This is, after all, a community for writers who clamor for feedback.

This week's words:

Dainty;  adjective: Delicate and pretty or choice, delicious and tasty; noun: something delicious, especially a small piece of food.

Haunting; adjective: Evoking strong emotion, especially a sense of sadness, that persists for a long time.

Tantalize; transitive verb: To tease or torment people by letting them see, but not have, something they desire; to cause one to be tantalized.

I riffed off the words to do a classical allusion.

Loved this week's words! I cheated a little by using a different sense for 'haunting', but really like what I came up with.

I loved the words but had a hard time using them. Thought of food at first, then thought of dancing, then thought of people.... and ended up with a curse. :)

Something softer this week. I think I'm going to give up being so angry and hard in my writing this Lent.

If VL's giving up being so angry in her writing, then I must be giving up endless stories. Only 300 words this time. A frickin' miracle.

Thanks, Thom, for running the show.

I have been away for a while, but I think I should be able to participate regularly again now.

There are some great writers here, and I have missed participating.
