3WW CCXCIX

Each week, I post three words. You write something using the words.

Then come back and post a link to the contribution with Mr. Linky (but please, link to the exact post, not your blog, by clicking on the exact post title and paste it to Mr. Linky below). As always, there's no hard-and-fast rule that you have to post on Wednesday.

But I invite everyone to check back often to read and  comment on other contributions. This is, after all, a community for writers who clamor for feedback.

This week's words:

Calm; adjective: (Of a person, action, or manner) not showing or feeling nervousness, anger, or other emotions; (of the weather) pleasantly free from wind; noun: The absence of violent or confrontational activity within a place or group; verb: [with obj.] make (someone) tranquil and quiet; soothe; [no obj.] (calm down) (of a person) become tranquil and quiet.

Know; verb: Be aware of through observation, inquiry, or information; [with obj.] have developed a relationship with (someone) through meeting and spending time with them; be familiar or friendly with; have personal experience of (an emotion or situation).

Rattle; verb: Make or cause to make a rapid succession of short, sharp knocking sounds, typically as a result of shaking and striking repeatedly against a hard surface or object; to feel nervous, worried, or irritated; noun: A rapid succession of short, sharp, hard sounds.

I thought these words could lead to yet another serious poem so I wrote something silly instead.
