As you well know, each week I post three words. You write something using the words.

Then come back and post a link to the contribution with Mr. Linky (but please, link to the exact post, not your blog, by clicking on the exact post title and paste it to Mr. Linky below). As always, there's no hard-and-fast rule that you have to post on Wednesday.

(And if you want a hint as to when I post three new words, follow me on Twitter @tgabrukiewicz.)

I do invite everyone to check back often to read and  comment on other contributions. This is, after all, a community for writers who clamor for feedback.

This week's words:

Badge; noun: A distinctive emblem worn as a mark of office, membership, achievement, licensed employment, etc.; a distinguishing object or emblem; a feature or sign that reveals a particular condition or quality:

Darken; verb: Make or become dark or darker; make or become gloomy, angry, or unhappy; [no object] (of someone's eyes or expression) show anger or another strong negative emotion; [with object] (of such an emotion) show in (someone's eyes or expression).

Liability; noun: The state of being responsible for something, especially by law; (usually liabilities) a thing for which someone is responsible, especially a debt or financial obligation; [usually in singular] a person or thing whose presence or behavior is likely to cause embarrassment or put one at a disadvantage.

Great words, and glad to join you all. Plenty of inherent tension in these words, and glad to see this took me to a darker place in my writing than usual. Looking forward to the next round :)
